Graduation of Free Makeup Training Sponsored by Oma HelpingHands

News Overview

Oma HelpingHands Foundation proudly celebrated the graduation of six women who successfully completed a one-month free training program in makeup artistry and gele (head tie) styling in Benue State.

This initiative reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to empowering women through practical, income-generating skills that foster independence and dignity.

About the Training Program

The program, organized in collaboration with Ever Glowy Hub, offered participants hands-on instruction in key areas such as skin preparation, hygiene, basic makeup techniques, and gele tying.

Beyond technical training, participants also received business guidance and client service coaching, helping them understand how to turn their new skills into sustainable income streams.

By combining professional skill-building with business readiness, the program prepared each graduate not only to work confidently but also to start small beauty enterprises within their communities.

Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony was a moment of pride and celebration. Certificates of completion were presented to all six participants in recognition of their hard work and dedication.

Families, friends, mentors, and community members gathered to applaud the graduates’ achievements and the opportunities now open before them.

The event was filled with emotion—smiles, gratitude, and renewed hope—as each woman stepped forward with the confidence to build a better future through her craft.

Empowerment in Action

This training represents one of Oma HelpingHands Foundation’s growing empowerment initiatives, focused on giving women practical, in-demand skills that lead to self-reliance.

By offering free access to professional instruction and certification, the Foundation ensures that women who would otherwise be unable to afford vocational education can still learn, earn, and thrive.

“Empowerment begins when a woman believes she can create change with her own hands,” said the Foundation’s leadership team.

Looking Ahead

Oma HelpingHands Foundation expressed sincere gratitude to all donors, partners, and prayer supporters who made the program possible.

The Foundation plans to expand similar empowerment projects across more communities—offering training in tailoring, digital skills, and small business management—to help women and youth gain the tools to shape their own futures.
