Project Overview
The School Fees Sponsorship Program is one of Oma HelpingHands Foundation’s most direct investments in children’s futures. Education is one of the strongest tools against poverty, yet many bright and determined students in rural Nigeria face the risk of dropping out due to financial hardship at home.
This program was created to ensure that such children are not denied the chance to learn simply because their families cannot afford basic school expenses.
What We Did
In June 2025, Oma HelpingHands Foundation supported two students as part of this growing initiative.
▪ At Aunty Best School, the Foundation covered ₦15,000 in school fees for Isaac Okaja Phiyidi, ensuring that he could continue his education without interruption.
▪ At Kizito Illinois School, a payment of ₦59,000 for Amakor Chimibi relieved a significant burden from his family and secured his place in school for the term.
Each payment was officially receipted and verified with school administrators—demonstrating the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and measurable impact.
Impact
Through this program, Oma HelpingHands Foundation directly prevents school dropouts, supports struggling families, and nurtures the potential of children who can become leaders in their communities. Each sponsorship represents more than financial aid—it’s a bridge to hope, opportunity, and stability.
These efforts also strengthen community trust, showing that education support, even at small scales, can transform entire households and encourage others to keep their children in school.
Transparency and Accountability
Every payment is recorded with official receipts and verified by both the Foundation and the schools involved. Donors are provided with updates and records of disbursement to ensure full clarity in how their gifts make a difference.
Looking Ahead
Oma HelpingHands Foundation aims to expand the Education Assistance Program by sponsoring more children each year, prioritizing families facing financial hardship. With steady donor support, we can reach dozens more students—ensuring that no child’s education is cut short due to lack of means.
